AMPERSAND WRAP
ASCEND
Ascend is a short sleeve (elbow length) worsted weight sweater using bottom up, drop shoulder construction. The sweater is worked in the round up to the armholes and then split for front and back where it is then worked flat until joined at the shoulders using the modified 3-needle bind off method. Ascend is finished with a folded mock neck collar.
Ascend features a fun chevron textured hem and “stripes” of broken seed stitch, for a relaxing, yet textural knit. Select two contrasting colors - for a high impact look - or two complimentary colors - for a more subtle tone on tone look… or maybe one of each!?

Wisp Raglan
Wisp is a short sleeve, top-down raglan construction, sport weight pullover, knit seamlessly from the collar to the colorwork hem. This pattern is designed to be worked in an open gauge with sport weight yarn to be lightweight for the warm weather months or an easy to layer sweater-tee for cooler weather. The colorwork in this pattern consists of a combination of simple stranded and slip-stitch work.
A Break in Tide Cowl
A Break in Tide Cowl is a bottom-up construction bandana cowl, featuring relaxing garter stitch complimented by sections of Fisherman’s rib and slip stitch variations. This cowl begins as a triangle shawl that is initially worked flat, then joined in the round and finished as a cowl.
This design begins with just a handful of stitches and increases along the ends until completion. Bind off occurs at the top edge.
A Break in Tide Shawl
A Break in Tide Shawl is a bottom-up construction, triangle shaped shawl featuring relaxing garter stitch complimented by sections of Fisherman’s rib and slip stitch variations. This design begins with just a handful of sts and increases along the ends until completion. Bind off occurs at the top edge.
What looks like brioche in this shawl is the “fisherman’s rib”.
There is no “traditional” brioche knitting in this design.
Homeland Slouchy Socks
Homeland Slouchy Socks - the comfy cozy socks you’ll want to throw on and lounge in on the weekend or at the end of a long day!
Homeland Slouchy Socks are DK weight socks knit from the cuff down. This pattern is designed to be worked in two strands of fingering weight yarn, held together throughout, to create a marl. Additionally, there are stripe accents where each color is held double, along with a contrast heel and a center rib detailing which runs along the top of the foot. The heel construction is worked as a heel flap and gusset.
Moon Link Cowl
Moon Link is a bandana style cowl (cowldana) worked flat from the bottom up to begin, then joined in the round for completion. This pattern features relaxing garter stitch complimented with a decorative eyelet edging and intermittent eyelet stripes.
A New Leaf socks
A New Leaf socks are DK weight, beginner-friendly colorwork socks, knit cuff-down with a heel flap and gusset. These socks feature a Fisherman’s Rib cuff (looks like brioche), which can be worked at either a short or tall height and include a contrast toe & heel.
A New Leaf socks are designed to be worked with two distinct colorways, using two strands of fingering weight yarn held together throughout, for each color. Holding the strands together provides extra comfort and durability; however, A New Leaf socks can also be worked in a single strand of DK or light Worsted.
Heart & Homebody
Heart and Homebody is a top-down raglan construction sweater, knit seamlessly from the neck to the split hem. Knit in worsted weight semi-woolenspun yarn (that is held double throughout to create a bulky weight fabric) this color-block sweater is designed to be worn like a relaxed fit comfy sweatshirt – perfect for layering or as an easy-to-throw-on piece for a chilly evening.

Meadowland
Inspired by the very early signs of Spring, when flower buds are first starting to come through, despite the morning frost or dusting of snow covering the ground.
Meadowland is a top-down raglan construction sweater, knit seamlessly from the collar to the lace hem. This sweater is designed to be worked in a single strand of DK held together with laceweight mohair or Suri throughout the body. The collar, hem and sleeve cuffs are worked in the DK alone. There are instructions for two sleeve options provided in this pattern; choose from a cropped or full-length sleeve.
Clove & Twine Toque
As the Winter chill settles around us, the scent of clove evokes feelings of comfort, warmth & joy.
Clove & Twine is designed to be worked with two strands held together of fingering weight yarn (either the same colorway or two complimentary colorways for a subtle marl) paired with Suri or Mohair for comfy-cozy warmth. Lateral braids create the contrasting detail “stripes”.

Designed special for Yarn Experiment’s 2020 Holiday Box, “Zig or Zag” socks are a cozy DK weight house sock, featuring right and left twist stitches to create the zig zag pattern…
These house socks are knit cuff-down with a heel flap and gusset and are designed to be worked in two strands of fingering weight yarn, held together throughout, for warmth and durability. Alternatively, the “Zig or Zag” socks can also be worked in a single strand of DK.

Nello House Sock
Designed in honor of my Great-Uncle (Zio) Nello and the charming city of Venice, Italy which is dear to me. The pattern design along the front / top of the Nello House Sock is symbolic of the rippling waters of the winding Grand Canal in Venice which runs throughout the city.
The Nello House socks are intended to be worn as a slightly relaxed fit house sock. At DK weight, these socks are warm and cozy! The Nello House socks are knit (herringbone) cuff-down holding just one strand of sock weight yarn to begin, then transition to double-stranded for the remainder. This pattern includes a gusset heel and an optional modified three-needle bind off toe closure for a decorative exposed seam.
Pinnacle Pullover
Pinnacle Pullover is a top-down circular yoke sweater, adorned with an eyelet and lace yoke design. German short rows are worked flat, at the back of neck, for shaping (to raise the back of neck slightly). The rest of the sweater is worked in the round.
This pattern can be worked holding two strands together throughout of heavy fingering weight yarn or with a single strand of worsted.

The Coastal Crop Raglan is a top-down raglan style pullover, knit seamlessly from the collar to the hem! German short row shaping in the back raises the back of neck slightly.
An updated take on a classic raglan silhouette, the Coastal Crop Raglan features pops of color in the slip stitch collar and sleeve cuffs, subtle eyelets within the yoke and a faux cable with eyelet design running down the side body. Finished with a flattering split hem which is slightly longer in the back, this wardrobe staple is easy to style & wear and so much fun to knit!

Autumn Falls is a lightweight slouchy hat inspired by the shift from summer into autumn when the air is crisp in the morning, chrysanthemums are coming into bloom and autumn is beginning to fall around us.
Perplexity Wrap
The Perplexity Wrap is a boomerang style wrap / shawl (shlanket?) knit primarily in garter stitch with accents of eyelets and a simple lace pattern.
The finished size of the Perplexity Wrap is determined by the yarn weight option you select. Choose to knit in fingering weight yarns for a lightweight fashion shawl or in worsted to bulky weight yarns for a perfectly cozy cold weather wrap!
Rhythm & Flow Beanie
Rhythm & Flow is a DK weight slouchy fit beanie designed to fit snug at the brim with moderate slouch in the body. The linen stitch brim and accent texture stripes playfully allow the burst of colors in speckled yarns to dance.
The design of Rhythm & Flow lends itself to a variety of yarn combinations. This beanie can be worked holding two strands together throughout of fingering weight yarn (as demonstrated in the sample) or with a single strand of DK weight.
Drift Blanket Shawl
Drift Blanket shawl, a new favorite for all occasions!
I wanted a shawl that could be easily paired with many outfits - casually or dressed up - a shawl I would grab for time and again. The design of the Drift Blanket shawl lends itself to both solid/tonal yarns as well as speckled/variegated colorways. Opt for tone on tone or a more dramatic pairing with high contrast - so many options to choose from - have fun with it!
Beachcomb Tee
Beachcomb is a bottom up drop shoulder tee featuring herringbone stitch along the bottom hem as well as along the front top of the tee as a fun detail. Available in nine sizes & two styles: cropped or hip length, this is the perfect light-weight warm weather tee for layering with a Summer dress, paired with a high waisted maxi skirt or casually with your favorite shorts.
Wanderlight
I have always been a fan of short sleeve sweaters and wanted to create a pattern that I would turn to over and over. Wanderlight is a versatile wardrobe staple - paired with jeans or layered over a tunic, the comfortable relaxed fit of Wanderlight makes this tee easy to wear.
Construction
Wanderlight is a DK weight tee (sample shown is knit using fingering weight yarn - Julie Asselin: Nomade - held double)
Worked from the bottom up as one piece with no side seaming, the front and back are then split at the armholes and worked flat. German short rows are used to shape the shoulders which are then seamed using a three needle bind off. To complete the sweater, the sleeves and neck collar stitches are picked up along the sleeve and neck edges and herringbone is worked in the round for the final detailing.
Recommended positive ease: 6 – 10” / 15 - 25 cm
Sample shown in size 3 with 9”/ 23 cm positive ease.
Artists Garden socks
Inspired by Monet! The Artists Garden socks are a scrappy / stash busting cozy sock! Perfect for mini skeins or to use up leftover bits, these socks can be knit as either a DK or Heavy Worsted/ Aran weight depending on the number of strands you choose to hold together. Finish off as either the Toe-less Footwarmer style or as the Closed Toe style – whichever makes your heart happy!
The Artists Garden socks are knit cuff-down with a gusset heel.
My sample of the 3 strand marled version is shown in the toe-less sandal sock style. My sample of the 2 strand marl version is shown in the closed toe style.
Windkissed
Windkissed is a top-down raglan style DK weight sweater featuring a playful eyelet detailing on the bib and sleeves.
This sweater is designed to fit as a cropped or hip length sweater with just-below-the-elbow length sleeves, but is also easy to modify for shorter or longer sleeves.
Available in 9 sizes. This sweater has a recommended positive ease of 1 – 5” / 2.5 - 13 cm. #sizeinclusive
Kismet Cowl
The Kismet Cowl / capelet two-in-one features a herringbone collar, a single wide cable and lends itself to many color combination possibilities! Knit holding multiple strands of fingering / sock weight yarn together to create a marled effect. You are encouraged to mix and match with tonals & speckles.
The Traveler Pullover
The Traveler Pullover is a top-down DK weight sweater featuring a two-color fisherman’s rib collar, a relaxed fit throughout the body & sleeves, and a split “shirt-tail” hem.
The sleeve cuffs are finished in a two-color fisherman’s rib to both compliment and contrast the collar.
Choose your preferred amount of “relaxed fit” from the two style options. Style A “more relaxed” is knit at a looser gauge and will produce a more open and draping fabric. Style B “less relaxed” is knit at a tighter gauge and will produce a more structured fabric.
The Traveler Pullover details
The Traveler Pullover is knit top-down and features a two-color fisherman’s rib collar, a relaxed fit throughout the body & sleeves, and a split “shirt-tail” hem. The sleeve cuffs are finished in a two-color fisherman’s rib to both compliment and contrast the collar.

The Soulful Blanket Cowl is an oversized cowl (when worn gathered & snuggly) or can be fashioned as a capelet when you allow it to drape over you. I wanted an easy to throw on knit for the in-between-seasons weather, but it has become much more for me! I love to wear the Soulful BC in lieu of snuggling in a blanket while knitting in my favorite chair - when I am spending time out in my porch or just feel like I need a little something on my shoulders.

The design of Scrappy Happiness blends colors together with the use of an easy-to-remember slip stitch pattern and a journey through a variety of colorways. This design is meant to show off an assortment of different yarns.
Five complimentary colors are suggested, but you may opt to use many more!
Patrick's Hat
Patrick’s Hat is a relaxed fit beanie with just a little bit of slouch, but a whole lot of squish!
What looks like brioche is in fact two color fisherman’s rib. This technique creates an extremely squishy-soft fabric with a great amount of stretch and bounce back. Paired with a tailored herringbone brim, Patrick’s Hat should fit comfortably snug through the brim while the body of the hat in fisherman’s rib will feel more relaxed.

Zoetic
Zoetic is a top down circular yoke sweater, designed to fit with 2-5” (5-13 cm) of positive ease. This sweater features a herringbone collar as well as herringbone sleeve cuffs for a texture contrast and playful statement.
For a layered look, the Suri or Mohair is worked throughout the main body and to the elbow of each sleeve.

The Cocoa (reversible) Cowl knit in a combination of bulky & super bulky weight yarn, features an alternating twisted rib and slip stitch pattern.
The design creates a brioche-esque look for one side of the cowl, revealing hints of the contrast color, while the alternate side highlights the contrast yarn.

Waves of Winter (fingerless gloves)
Knit in Aran weight yarn, the Waves of Winter gloves feature a twisted rib cuff & hem and a delicate wave lace design.The lace is centered along the top of each hand with specific directions provided for one right and one left hand.
This pattern is knit “bottom up” beginning at wrist cuff and finishing at your fingers at or just below the knuckle.

Adrift is a relaxed “wear all day” style cowl featuring herringbone stitch for the top and bottom finished hems, paired with a fun and easy to remember slip stitch design for the body.
The relaxed nature of this cowl allows the top to fold over on itself revealing the gorgeous interior “wrong side” texture. This design is knit with DK weight yarn in two or more colors!
Sample shown knit in yarn from Forest Fiber Arts, reflects a color combination shift as noted in the pattern directions.
Coffee Hour fingerless mitts
Coffee Hour fingerless mitts / wrist warmers feature textured cuffs, gusseted thumbs and a delicate lace design placed on the top of each hand. This pattern is knit “bottom up” beginning at wrist cuff and finishing at your fingers near the knuckle.
Because this pattern features a lace design located on the top “frontside” of each hand, specific directions are provided for one right and one left hand.

Knit with a DK weight tweed yarn, held doubled to make up the equivalent of an Aran or Light Bulky yarn, this cowl plays with color as you transition from one stripe to the next.
