Sun & Soul Wrap
Sun & Soul Wrap
Sun & Soul Wrap is a hug of sunshine on a chilly day.
Inspired by the warmth and joy you feel when the sun kisses your shoulders - almost therapeutic - my hope is that you will find the Sun & Soul Wrap as comforting and enjoyable to knit as it is to wear!
Sun & Soul Wrap is a “kite construction” wrap (shawl) which begins with just a handful of stitches. The unique shape is created by increasing on the outer edges while also decreasing at the center. Sun & Soul Wrap is DK weight, worked in two strands held together throughout of fingering weight yarn to create a marl and allow for smooth transitions of color while achieving the DK weight fabric.
This pattern is worked in a combination of Garter Stitch sections combined with a Slip-Stitch Ribbing.
This is an advanced beginner / intermediate level pattern.
Size
Approximately 84” / 210 cm wingspan, post light steam blocking.
Note! A full wet blocking, especially if you are working in SW yarn, will result in a larger finished size as the Garter Stitch sections will relax and be less squishy.
