Ampersand also known as the “and” sign…
…joining two separate entities to make one.

Stripes & Solid
Garter & Herringbone

Ampersand Wrap is a DK weight asymmetrical shaped triangular wrap / shawl, knit side to side. A combination of relaxing modified-garter stitch is paired with herringbone stitch (separated by a super fun lateral braid!) making for an enjoyable knit is sure to fly off the needles. The two-tone stripes of section one are complimented by the single tone of section two, allowing the texture of the herringbone stitch to take center stage.

Pattern Construction
This pattern begins with a handful of stitches at cast-on and is worked by increasing along one edge to completion of “part I”. The shawl is then completed by decreasing back to only a handful of stitches.

Part I of this pattern is worked in a modified garter stitch design, using two contrasting colorways. Part II of this pattern is worked in Herringbone stitch using a single (third) colorway.

This is an advanced beginner / intermediate level pattern.
