Sunkissed Stripes
Sunkissed Stripes
Sunkissed Stripes… inspired by my favorite time of the day just before golden hour when the sun is lower in the sky and feels like a warm but gentle hug on your skin.
Sunkissed Stripes is a lightweight (fingering weight) shawl designed for a combination of three contrasting colors. The stripes are created through a mixture of Garter Stitch and Slip-Stitch patterns (alternating between two colors in each section), for a relaxing knit that will keep you engaged throughout. This design begins with just a handful of stitches. Increases are worked on every row, along one edge of the shawl, establishing an asymmetrical shape while quickly growing the wingspan. For an extra playful finishing touch, Sunkissed Stripes is adorned with a picot bind-off.

• Darning needle
• Scissors

Gauge Information
• Garter Stitch: 23 sts x 40 rows per 4” / 10 cm, worked flat and measured post-blocking, pinned with a bit of stretch to reflect the nature of Garter Stitch worked flat over many stitches.
Note! It was noticed in my sample as well as with test knitters that the Garter Stitch gauge varied a bit throughout this pattern as it is worked flat over many stitches.
